Metrology Tech 1 April 2023

This course introduces the care and use of precision measuring instruments. Emphasis is placed on the inspection of machine parts and use of a wide variety of measuring instruments. This course also introduces methods in the setup and operation of coordinate measuring machines. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the correct use of measuring instruments.

The CPT Certification program at New College Institute focuses on the core technical competencies of the entry-level production worker, as well as prepares students for the MSSC-CPT assessments with a focus on safety (OSHA 10 for General Industry included), quality practices & measurement, manufacturing processes & production, and maintenance awareness.

– Manufacturing, Work-readiness & Safety: October 4-November 17; Tuesday – Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm – $210.00 (Cost includes the $60 one time registration fee required by MSSC)        

– Quality Practices & Measurement: October 18 – November 15; Tuesdays – 9:00am-2:00pm – $150.00 .

– Manufacturing Processes & Production: October 19- November 16; Wednesdays – 9:00am-2:00pm – $150.00

– Maintenance Awareness: October 20-November 17; Thursdays – 9:00am-2:00pm – $150.00
