The CPT Certification program at New College Institute focuses on the core technical competencies of the entry-level production worker, as well as prepares students for the MSSC-CPT assessments with a focus on safety (OSHA 10 for General Industry included), quality practices & measurement, manufacturing processes & production, and maintenance awareness. The CNC Machinist I course will provide students with the knowledge to excel in entry to mid-level industrial manufacturing positions. Topics covered include safety, industrial mathematics, precision measurement, tooling, CNC mill setup and operation, CNC lathe operation and setup, and g-code programming.
