The BC-TMH is a joint
effort between the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) and STAR
Telehealth with New College Institute.

Video-based telemental health is a rapidly growing field spanning multiple mental health disciplines. Today’s mental health professionals seek the best practices and credibility to offer safe and effective services to their clients. The Board Certified–Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH) credential is designed to meet this need. The BC-TMH gives mental health providers the training, knowledge, and credibility that clients and employers demand.

 

This module provides an overview of important tools necessary for effective and competent crisis prevention. Response planning in a telemental health venue is also addressed.
Course Learning Objectives: Formulate rationale for using video tools during crisis and understand limitations; Preparation to minimize crisis; and Response protocols for crisis management plan.

Learning Outcomes Conditions:
Complete self-paced certification in its entirety for this module.
Complete certification for this module within 30 days.
Pass all quizzes with 80% or better.

Approximate Learning Time: 1 – 2 hours per module.

Qualified individuals upon completion of the Board Certified Telemental Health Training Series modules 1 through 9 will be able to apply to receive the credential by going to https://www.cce-global.org/Credentialing/BCTMH.  Upon successful completion
of this module you will earn 1 CE clock hour with NBCC-ACEP801.
